Global Connections (GC) is a project designed to help incoming international students obtain information about York University and Canada before they arrive. By connecting new international students with with current international students called Global Student Liaisons (GSL), this new program bridges the gap across countries, languages, and time zones.

The Global Connections Online Information Sessions show new students what to expect upon their arrival in Canada and at York. Each episode will focus on a specific topic that all international students will need to understand. The sessions will be lead by a team of dynamic Global Liaisons who will share their experiences and their tips for success.

We know that traveling within a new city can be intimidating. This is why we are dedicating an entire webinar to showing you how easy is it to get around in Toronto!  We will cover the basics of Toronto's public transit system as well as the steps that an international student will need to take in order to drive a car. Our team of Global Liaisons will share their advice about how best to get around this city we all love.

Viewers will be able to ask question during the sessions and even book a one-on-on Skype session with senior student if their questions require a more in depth answer.
