Through this program, you will:
- Contribute to the UN SDGs not only on an academic level but also on a personal one through adopting a lifelong holistic sustainable lifestyle
- Link the theories on internationalization and sustainability to a concrete experience within their host community
- Participate in structured reflection on this experience before, during and after their mobility experience
- Engage actively in their host communities
- Be part of a global network of similarly minded people. Be part of change. Engage in alumni activities offered at York and create own impact.
- Develop new knowledge and skills including sustainability literacy, new languages and inter and cross-cultural competencies.
In addition to the above, you will:
- Receive a letter of recognition from York International and the UNESCO Chair in Reorienting Education towards Sustainability
- Add this program to their Co-curricular Transcript
- Receive the “Sustainable on the Go” electronic badge which can be used in their resume, Linked-in page, email signature …etc.
- Participate in knowledge mobilization events at York University to share their experience with York community
