A Grief Support Group for students from Syria will be facilitated by a therapist from Student Counselling, Health and Wellbeing, to support those who have been impacted by the disaster. Any students from the Syrian diaspora (domestic, exchange, international etc.,) are encouraged to attend.

The group is intended to be a safe space for students to share personal experiences, to talk about loved ones as well as the impact of the traumatic event on their mental health and daily functioning. Some psycho education will be provided about grief as well as ideas for self-care.

Light refreshments and snacks will be made available to those who attend.
