Invitation to the Closing Webinar: Pre-Cop26 Knowledge-Exchange Dialogue: Multi-Level Joint Action For Climate, Nature And People - Bridging Knowledge, Policy And Practice

Held shortly before the Glasgow Climate Conference COP26, this knowledge-exchange dialogue will bring researchers and practitioners together for an in-depth discussion on joint action for climate and biodiversity, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The purpose is to set the foundation for the co-creation of concrete recommendations to strengthen stakeholder engagement at scale for integrated action for climate, nature, and people.

Participation to the workshops are by invitation, featuring main stage panels, parallel interactive workshops, and roundtables.

Topics include:

  • Lessons from the IPBES-IPCC Joint Workshop Report
  • Land, forest, and freshwater
  • Ocean and costal zones
  • Indigenous peoples, local communities, nature stewardship
  • Cities, nature, and health
  • Food systems, water management and agriculture

The Closing Plenary on October 21st at 11:00am ET (Toronto) will be a webinar open to the public. The closing webinar will share insights from the discussions all the themes in the workshops, future outlook, setting goals and noting the upcoming COP26.
