(2) Free VIRTUAL Tax Filing Appointments for International Students:
Need help filing your taxes? Book a free virtual appointment with a tax expert. These 40-minute (individual) or 1-hour (couple) sessions are available to international students meeting specific income criteria.
- Date & Time: March 19th, 24th and 25th from 10:00am-4:00 pm (40 minute appointments for one person, 1 hour appointment for couples)

- What to bring to the Filing Tax Virtual Appointment:
- Two pieces of Government issued ID such as passport, driving license…etc.
- SIN number for student and spouse (if married) and study permit
- Tax information slips, T4 if worked in 2024, T2202A for tuition fees paid receipt , T4A for Bursaries or scholarship received, or any other tax slip that client may have.
- The exact date of arrival for newcomers If arrived in Canada in 2024, also income earned in home country in 2024, before arriving in Canada (if any), converted to Canadian dollars
- Letter from landlord stating total rent paid for 2024 (not required if using university/college residence)
- Direct deposit information if filing for the first time
- (3 digit financial institution number, 5 digit branch transit number and individual’s account number)
- 2023 CRA notice of assessment, if filed last year
- Important Note:If a student worked in 2024, the individual annual income limit is $35,000 ($45,000 for a couple) in order to avail of this free service.
