Free Tax Filing Appointments for International Students:

Date & Time: March 20th, 21th and 22nd from 10:00am-4:00 pm (40 minute appointments for one person, 1 hour appointment for couples)

What to bring to the Filing Tax Virtual Appointment:  

• Two pieces of government issued photo ID (Passports, drivers license, etc.)
• SIN number, PR card and/or any other status document
• Tax  information slips such as T4 (if you worked in 2023), T2202A (Tuition fees paid), any other tax slips *Tax slips related to YorkU.
• medical/dental receipts
• Rent receipts or letter from landlord stating amount of rent paid in 2023
• 2022 CRA notice of assessment (you would have received this from the CRA if you filed returns in 2022)
• Direct deposit information if filing for the first time
  (3 digit financial institution number, 5 digit branch transit number and individual’s account number)

Important Note: If a student worked in 2023, the individual annual income limit is $35,000 ($45,000 for a couple) in order to avail of this free service.
