York University’s Globally Networked Learning Workshops 2023: attend to find out more!

York University’s Globally Networked Learning (GNL) team will be hosting the second York-GNL workshop on Monday, Feb 13 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. The session is open to all external institutions and partner faculty members who are interested in innovative pedagogies that combine internationalization and experiential education through co-teaching a course with an international partner.

Participants can learn more about the past experience of how York successfully integrated GNL in the courses to provide a student-centered teaching and learning. They will also learn how to integrate GNL-enhanced activities in their courses including developing new and/or enhancing existing partnerships through GNL. York GNL faculty course leaders will share their experiences, as well as student learning outcomes and feedback. 

The GNL approach engages faculty and students from different locations around the world to participate in collaborative class discussions, joint lectures, assignments and/or research projects through innovative pedagogies and the use of online communication and information technologies. In addition to innovative pedagogical approaches, GNL promotes and facilitates intercultural communication and global learning for both faculties and students. 

York-GNL workshops will help you as, faculty members, administrative and program staff, to explore the GNL as a teaching-learning approach and provide in-depth and hands-on guidance (“the how-tos”) to mount your own GNL projects bringing global perspectives and cross-cultural discussions into your classrooms.
