DAAD RISE – German Ministry of Higher Education The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers outstanding opportunities to combine serious research with a rewarding study abroad experience. All programs are targeted to students in the fields of engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, earth sciences (geology) and related disciplines. Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE) offers undergrads the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects at top research institutions and universities in Germany. Export Development Canada (EDC) EDC awards 30 scholarships annually worth $4,000 cash. Twenty-five scholarships go to undergraduate or college students interested in pursuing a career or furthering their studies in international business, with up to five additional scholarships for students in programs that combine business with environmental or sustainability studies.

International Experience Canada Canada has negotiated reciprocal temporary work permits with close to 40 countries for Canadians 18 to 35 years of age.
