Global Affairs Scholarships

Global Affairs Canada Scholarships

The Global Affairs Canada Scholarship program consists of five scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students and university staff and faculty, who are coming to study or do research from specific countries at York University. Applicants must submit the required documentation to York International electronically, via the links provided below.

Interested parties must first submit their application, complete with all supporting documentation to York International, who then nominates eligible applicants to Global Affairs Canada. Detailed application procedures are available in the GAC Guide for Students.

NOTE: Exchange agreement balances will be taken into consideration when determining if a nomination can be submitted to Global Affairs Canada.

For graduate candidates who are interested in research only, an Exchange Partnership Agreement with York University, is not required, however, please email balaksa@yorku.ca for additional information.

NOTE: for interested universities and higher education institutions in Latin America, the Caribbean and Southeast Asia that are not currently an exchange partner institution of York:

If you are currently not in the list of York University’s institutional exchange partners, you are encouraged to connect with York Faculties to determine academic partnership interest. Please also consider that the process of establishing institutional agreement requires the support of a York Faculty and may take between 4 – 6 months inclusive of drafting, review and signatures.
