Global Affairs Scholarships

The Global Affairs Scholarship program consists of five scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students and university staff and faculty, who are coming to study or do research from specific countries to study at York University. Applicants must submit the required documentation to York International electronically, via the links provided below.

Interested parties must first submit their application, complete with all supporting documentation to York International, who then nominates eligible applicants to Global Affairs Canada. Detailed application procedures are available on GACSEP Guide for Students.

 NOTE: Exchange agreement balances will be taken into consideration when determining if a nomination can be submitted to Global Affairs Canada.

For graduate candidates who are interested in research only, an Exchange Partnership Agreement with York University, is not required, however, please email for additional information.

Deadline for applications - April 9, 2018 4:00 pm

Successful applicants should be aware that scholarship funds will be distributed through York University and may take 6 - 8 weeks to process after arrival in Toronto.
