Globally Networked Learning (GNL)

Globally Networked Learning (GNL) is a method of teaching in which classrooms and instructors from distant locations collaborate with the assistance of technology (including but not limited to learning management systems, video conferencing software and hardware, cloud computing and social media). In this environment, students have the opportunity to gain new perspectives on their coursework as well as to foster cross-cultural understanding by working with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds.

If you are interested in incorporating GNL into your classroom, please visit York's Globally Networked Learning website for more information.
